About the Role The Solution Architect performs solution design ensuring infrastructure and application best practices are leveraged for various business lines for Cloud or On-Prem deployments. Responsibilities Leading the development of future state business area architectures in an organized and cohesive manner using enterprise architecture frameworks, working proactively to create business competitive advantage, focus on cost, and maximize design. Leading business area architecture gap analysis including impact, ROI, time to benefit, alignment to strategic business needs, and road map to address expected changes. Facilitating long term architecture planning to ensure alignment between business product roadmap, and the ETS roadmap. Ensuring that designed or reviewed solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security. Possesses the broad expertise to integrate the technical vision for IT, integrating across technologies, systems, and organizations. Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level business models, preparing business cases, considering any implications of systems considered. Ensuring compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities, and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards, and practices. Establishing policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components and coordinating design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency and that appropriate standards are adhered to. Coordinating the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software, products, methods, and techniques and evaluating likely relevance of these for the organization while providing regular briefings to staff and management. High degree of collaboration with infrastructure, development, and PMO teams to ensure tactical and strategic deliverables are met Developing architecture for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with internal customers. Resolving challenges by analyzing issues, assisting the team to determine the most appropriate course of action, providing direction and, when necessary, reallocating resources. Facilitating project intake review and design solutions which meets published architecture standards Providing technical oversight and guidance to the deployment team for implementation of projects on time and on budget Serving as technical escalation point to remove roadblocks and facilitate issue/risk resolution to ensure all portfolio and project delivery targets are met Requirements Have 10+ years of overall IT / technical services experience with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology. Experience working in a growth-oriented environment, with ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent requests, projects, and responsibilities. Experience track record of leveraging vendor and consultant expertise for IT project delivery and support. Experience with various middleware technologies and databases. Experience with Infrastructure architecture – Cloud, Hybrid and Private hosting Experience with Linux, Windows, LAN, WAN, WLAN, SAN, Server and Storage, Web Servers, Application Servers, Load Balancers and Security (Firewalls, intrusion prevention, compliance monitoring and vulnerability management Flexible Working At Conduent, we want you to be yourself. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
