Job Summary The Fraud Intelligence Engineer reports to the Strategic Fraud Intelligence Director. Strategic Fraud Intelligence lives within the Technical Fraud Management group which is responsible for identifying, mitigating and responding to all fraud threats impacting the enterprise and subscriber base. As a Fraud Intelligence Engineer, this individual will work with the team, assist in identifying threats, investigating incidences of suspected fraud, and collecting open-source intelligence information. The Fraud Intelligence Engineer will also handle operational tasks, assist in data collections and analysis. Job Description Core Responsibilities: Research, automate and document sources of suspected fraud External research using search engines, OSINT tools, forum research. Internal research using Comcast tools and data Continuously improve processes for use across multiple detection sets for more efficient operations. Work with our incident response team providing data discovered from cyber events. Communicate methods, findings, and analysis in written, technical reports to technical and non-technical audiences. Liaise with appropriate internal stakeholders during the investigation process to deliver fraud intelligence and details of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). Work with our Legal Response Center, Cable Legal and attorneys for ad-hoc investigations. Research, automate and document sources of Comcast subscriber credentials using forums and dark net marketplaces. Partner with internal stakeholders on projects as they relate to Fraud Intelligence. Assist in the documentation of processes, projects and other operational tasks. Handle operational tasks such as triage of threats and managing third party Fraud Intelligence sources. Identify and perform any escalations to the Security Incident Response team. Maintain and employ a strong understanding of advanced threats, continuous vulnerability assessment, response and mitigation strategies used in fraud operations. Collaborate with security data analytics and threat hunting teams. Desired Skills and Experience: Scripting/programming experience a plus (i.e. Shell, Powershell, Python, Java, Go, etc.) Understanding of relational (SQL) and non-relational (Hadoop) databases preferred Ability to adapt to fast paced culture and constant changes. Exposure to projects involving fraud or cybersecurity. Experience working closely with Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Digital Forensics, etc. Able to rapidly identify trending fraud threats and report to leaders with aggressive deadlines. Knowledge of current hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and security analysis techniques Knowledge of threats and various attacker methods including tools/techniques/practices Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows and *NIX operating systems including command-line tasks and scripting Job Specification: BA/BS (MA preferred) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field Optional Certification(s): CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CEH Comcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. Relevant Work Experience 0-2 Years Salary: Pay Range: $59,408.65 - $89,112.97 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
