<p><b>Middle Office Commodity Pricing Analyst - Oil &amp; Gas</b><br />

<b>Contract: Until January 31 2024, potential extension.</b><br />

Job Overview:<br />
In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Manager of Commodity Market Risk &amp; Compliance, and will work within a highly motivated and professional team responsible for overseeing the day-to-day commodity pricing related activities for the global Supply and Trading function. The successful candidate will sit on the trade floor, and will experience the fast paced, exciting environment where multi-million dollar energy contracts are bought and sold on the markets each day. This position requires a later hours, i.e. later start of the day 9-10 am and later finish 6-7 pm.<br />
<br />
Key Accountabilities:</p>

<ul>
<li>Maintain a comprehensive database of multiple commodity prices (Crude, Products, NatGas, Power)</li>
<li>Develop an expertise in the construction and validation of forward price curves and daily settles, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, within an automated framework</li>
<li>Perform daily pricing aggregation and data interface of all inputs into CTRM system; Initiation of end-of-day valuation process</li>
<li>Work closely with other Middle Office staff to ensure accurate commodity pricing for daily profit/loss reporting</li>
<li>Identify, analyze and proactively drive improvements to existing processes and procedures</li>
<li>Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as required</li>
</ul>

<p>Required Qualifications:</p>

<ul>
<li>ERP/FRM is an asset</li>
</ul>

<p>Experience and Education:</p>

<ul>
<li>Risk Management experience in the areas of crude oil, natural gas or power considered an asset</li>
<li>Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Mathematics</li>
</ul>

<p>Skills and Knowledge:</p>

<ul>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulae, macros)</li>
<li>Proficient with analyzing complex sets of data, and possesses the ability to problem solve independently</li>
<li>Capacity to multitask, working under daily deadlines and employing a continuous improvement mindset</li>
<li>Detail oriented with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, performing tasks in an open and dynamic environment</li>
<li>Effective interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of the North American energy markets is highly preferred</li>
