Overview The undergraduate student intern will be assisting our battery materials research team on data collection and analysis of materials characterization efforts. The primary focus is in collecting data from spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization including impedance and cyclic voltammetry measurements. Additionally, the student is expected to perform collating and curating data sets from literature along with the chemical and structural characterization data generated using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman capabilities. These activities will require a close collaboration with mentors who are working towards designing next generation energy storage materials. Responsibilities Major areas of responsibility will include: Working with mentors to collect and analyze complex data sets and perform error/uncertainty evaluations. Interact, communicate, and learn to tackle technical problems with diverse team of scientists. Assisting mentors in preparation of technical reports Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university. Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.5.
