Our Transaction Services team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference. Within our KPMG's Transaction Services practice, our professionals provide financial due diligence services on behalf of our clients to help them drive value from mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with a forward-thinking approach to deal planning. We are currently looking for experienced CPA professionals, at the Senior Associate level with Audit, Transactions Services and/or Financial Services experience. This role is based out of our Toronto or Vaughan office. What you will do Working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction cycle: Support managers in managing project timelines and deliver multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity Engage with cross functional engagement teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets Evaluate a business’ historical performance and sustainability of earnings/cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management control environment. Identify and report key issues, perform the relevant financial analysis, and interpret results. Undertake smaller assignments or assist on larger assignments reporting to a manager, senior manager, or a partner. Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors. Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables. Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients. Provide support/assistance for proposals. Contribute to the effective working of the team and development of team morale. Occasionally support one of our other business units in a cross-functional role (e.g. Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Global Infrastructure Advisory Group, etc.). At times, as business needs arises, team members may be requested and required to work beyond their normal workday or work week to complete client work and other tasks. Likewise, there will be times where team members may need extra time to devote to personal matters. In this role, flexibility with your work schedule will be important. What you bring to the role Must have a professional designation (CPA, CA); with experience in either Audit or Transaction Services Financial and commercial awareness with strong analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Above-average proficiency using Microsoft Excel. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required. Ability to speak other languages is an asset (Mandarin, French, Spanish, etc.).
