Pressure Vessel Engineer

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />
<br />
Wood has an opportunity for a Pressure Vessel Engineer of working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded member of our experienced team in Milan, with successful candidates taking responsibility for Static Equipment issues and deliverables on projects at all stages of the design process.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities:</p>

<ul>
<li>Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including WOOD and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the Man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule target</li>
<li>Prepare material requisitions for the defined static equipment (Reactor, Towers, Vessels, API Tanks)</li>
<li>Perform mechanical design in accordance with International/Italian pressure equipment codes &amp; standards based on Pressure and Wind / Earthquake loads</li>
<li>Perform FEA calculations for Vessels and special refractory lines</li>
<li>Issue material requisitions to the Materials Management Department for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions</li>
<li>Review Vendor&
39;s quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor bid</li>
<li>Review Vendor documentation (calculations reports, fabrication procedures and drawings)</li>
<li>Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Vendor</li>
<li>Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary</li>
<li>Liaise with the Project Engineer and other engineering groups regarding information from/to other Dept.&
39;s</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Skills / Qualifications</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Graduated in Mechanical Engineering</li>
<li>Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Good knowledge of written / spoken English language</li>
<li>Good knowledge of written / spoken Italian language</li>
<li>Availability to assignment period c/o affiliates&
39; offices</li>
<li>Computer literate within Microsoft Office</li>
