<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently seeking to recruit an Integrity Engineer to join a growing consulting team based in the Melbourne CBD office (with a blend of remote work) who work closely to offer solutions to our local and global business partners. We are seeking individuals who get a kick out of working in partnership with clients and upon joining the team you will be an active member of a collaborative, dynamic and technically skilled group working on world class upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities. <br><br>Wood's Consulting business unit is a global, end-to-end, multi-sector specialist consultancy, trusted by clients to provide the innovative solutions and delivery excellence needed to solve today's most complex challenges and maximise value across the asset life cycle. <br><br>Our successful candidate will quickly be involved in providing consulting and engineering solutions, understanding the issues of key clients and responding by delivering improved outcomes while balancing integrity, performance and cost. A key element of the role will be the ability to understand the needs of our clients while developing effective working partnerships. <br><br>This position is offered on a permanent staff basis with ongoing career and professional development. <br><br>You will use technical knowledge and produce engineering deliverables as part of delivery excellence within the team. This will involve the following: <br><ul><li> Complete routine engineering tasks with limited guidance and direction from more senior technical professionals and provide mentoring to more junior team members </li><li> Develop client proposals and scopes of work </li><li> Develop and implement asset integrity management (AIMS) and Asset Performance Management (APM) applications </li><li> Update Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) </li><li> Evaluate asset information to determine damage mechanisms, hazards, failure modes and risk mitigations </li><li> Utilise spreadsheet and database tools to capture and manipulate data; identifying trends and equipment health concerns </li><li> Undertake KPI reporting and performance metric development for system integrity </li><li> Setup and configuration of Integrity Management Database Systems </li><li> Develop client reports to communicate results and recommendations </li><li> Contribute to account management and winning work processes and activities </li><li> This position is an integral part of the Asset Performance Optimisation group, which offers high value engineering consultancy services in the areas of: </li></ul><ul><ul><li> Corrosion & Materials </li><li> Asset Integrity Management </li><li> Rotating Equipment Reliability </li><li> Pressure Equipment </li><li> Maintenance Management Consulting </li><li> Noise Management </li><li> Risk & Reliability </li><li> Training & Competency </li></ul></ul><br> Project Management: <br><ul><li> Manage small projects, with responsibility for cost, schedule, resources allocation and risk </li><li> Where PM, accountable for project delivery; to meet, or ideally exceed, clients' expectations with regards Budget, Schedule, and Deliverable Quality </li></ul><br> Account Management and Winning Work: <br><ul><li> Support the development of client relationships, up to Team Lead level, and client account management activities </li><li> Provide technical input and support to proposals as required </li></ul><br> Supporting and Supervising Task Delegation to Team: <br><ul><li> May supervise a small work group consisting of intern and early career technical/professional staff with some coaching from own senior team members </li><li> Support managerial tasks as requested, such as planning and coordinating portions of the engineering work; preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets; attending project meetings; and developing intern and early careers technical professionals<br> </li></ul><br> Contributes to Team Culture: <br><ul><li> Provide appropriate HSSE&S leadership including compliance with travel, site and office safety requirements and technical/design safety requirements </li><li> Provide appropriate Operational Excellence leadership ensuring compliance with quality management standards and tools </li><li> Provides positive leadership (CARE, COMMITMENT, COURAGE); listens to others, displays empathy, respects others' opinions and beliefs and strives to add to an environment where all team members want to be a part of </li><li> Contribute ideas to innovation funding requests and may lead delivery or be involved in an innovation project </li><li> On relevant occasion seeks and promotes workshare collaboration on projects and opportunities </li></ul><br> Additional accountabilities and responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Understand customer needs and apply technical solutions to deliver expectations and seek to always create value to customer </li><li> Ensure successful completion of the assigned task within the budgeted time and cost constraints </li><li> Evaluate problems, reviews standards and specifications, develop work execution tasks to solve technical consulting challenges for components, equipment, systems, processes, etc </li><li> Undertake and occasionally check Engineering calculations, reporting deliverables and data analysis tools in accordance with the scope definition and industry codes and standards </li><li> Participate in site visits, project review meetings, progress meetings and other workshops as required </li><li> Anticipate potential problems and takes the initiative to solve complex problems through creative thinking </li><li> Produce innovative ideas and solve problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches </li><li> Complete all required tasks in accordance with Wood QMS requirements using the current determined tools and processes </li></ul><br> At this time, we will only consider applications from candidates who are able to work lawfully in Australia. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>It takes a range of individuals to make up a diverse and flexible technical team. We are looking for committed professionals who are keen to develop their own skills and career while being committed to contributing to the success of the team as a whole. <br><br><b>Qualifications</b>: <br><ul><li> Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering discipline (Materials / Mechanical / Process / Chemical), alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence </li></ul><br> <b>Experience</b>: <br><ul><li> Requires professional knowledge and progressive experience in general engineering </li><li> Typically requires 2 to 7 years progressively more responsible pertinent experience; developing his/her area, and knowledgeable about impacts on other areas </li></ul><br> <b>Skills and Knowledge</b>: <br><ul><li> Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates </li><li> Working level of ability in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution </li><li> Working level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards </li><li> Technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards. </li><li> Seeks knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports </li><li> Developing skills in persuasion, negotiation, motivation and communication </li><li> Developing proficiency in project planning </li><li> Possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings.
