Overview Rapiscan Systems | AS&E, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Production Technician 2, based out of Oak Ridge, TN. Performs a vareity of technical duties to configure electronics and test of complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies to include the troubleshooting and repair to meet product performance specifications. Majority of the circuits are digital and will require troubleshooting to the component level. Complies test results, interprets results, and documentss as defined by the design and manufacuting work instructions. Products will include an assortment of assemblies to support the Radiation Detection Solutions business. All test work must conform to design and manufacturing work instructions in a quality manner with minimal supervision. **This is a 6 month contract position** Responsibilities Candidate must have experience to perform the test set-up and testing of digital and analog sub-assemblies and final assembly to include the ability to down load firmware onto printed circuit boards and software parameter set-up conditions necessary to perform the testing defined by the design and manufacturing documentation. Candidate must have a history of performing quality work consistent with design and process documentation. Test will require use of manufacturing procedures, quality verification checklists, design test documentation, technical manuals, specifications, wire run lists, and be trained to handle isotope test sources to collect product performance spectrum data. Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM) structure, ability to read digital and analog schematics, and ability to interpret test results that include verification of radiation detection spectrum test data. Ability to perform test work using written and verbal test instruction and the subsequent capture of the test results to verify product performance specifications have been achieved. Ability to use digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, input / output devices, environmental test chamber, and engineering supplied test equipment. Ability to review test results with engineering and other personnel to assess performance of product to include generation of ECO to correct design documentation where appropriate. Maintain a safe and clean work area and daily accountability of work performed, tools and test equipment, and manufacturing work packets for assigned work. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business Qualifications Associates degree in Electronics, or equivalent certificate. 2 to 3 years of related electronic, sub-assembly, and upper assembly testing experience. Must have good computer and some writing skills. An enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude to achieve quality testing results.
