Juno Therapeutics GmbH is an innovative German subsidiary of a fast-growing American biotechnology company in the field of adaptive cell therapy (Juno Therapeutics Inc. a Bristol Myers Squibb Company). Our goal is to develop new immunotherapies for the treatment of tumors. For our Process Engineering Team located in Munich, we are looking for a (Senior) Manager, Manufacturing (m/f/d). COMPETENCES The (Senior) Manager, Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing team, the manufacturing pilot plant and all aspects of pilot scale (cGMP) manufacturing of our breakthrough technologies for T-cell processing for supply of clinical studies. The position owner must demonstrate ability to efficiently work in cross-functional teams and having excellent leadership skills. The position owner must also have excellent organizational skills to effectively assign work packages, maintain the GMP status of the facility as well as to conduct cGMP compliant manufacturing operations. This includes oversight of technical as well as regulatory site status, coordination of team efforts and planning of manufacturing activities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Managing reagent manufacturing at Juno Therapeutics GmbH. Includes oversight of fermentation and purification operations and subsequent processing of components. Responsible for leading manufacturing staff (8 FTE). Includes training in workplace specific, GMP and EHS requirements and procedures. Aseptic filling of reagents and other components according to established Batch Records and standards. Managing process transfers (receiving site) for processes developed by Process Development. Includes issuance of Batch Records according to Process Descriptions provided by Process Development. Providing reagent supply for further use in the development of cell products Operation of the reagent manufacturing facilities for the production of GMP reagent batches and development batches. Sharing of resources with Process Engineering for the production of development batches as needed.
