Senior Construction Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Home Office Construction Engineer for the Milan office. <br><br>Duties & Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Be the primary contact regarding all construction activities in front of the Project and Client </li><li> Act as constructability sponsor at Projects level. Provide construction oriented inputs to the project throughout the engineering phase </li><li> Provide guidance in the definition of the project construction strategy, execution planning and subcontracting strategy </li><li> Provide guidance during the definition of modularization strategy and the development of modules engineering </li><li> Prepare project specific procedures on construction execution, construction quality control and material management, as necessary to meet Projects requirements </li><li> Define construction execution, construction quality control, and material management requirements - and other technical documentation as necessary to meet Project requirements - to be included in the tendering documentation for the execution of construction works </li><li> Prepare the scope of work description for heavy lifting works, and heavy / out of gage transport works </li><li> Prepare for approval plans, drawings, specifications, requisitions and bid summaries for all temporary construction facilities and site enabling works to support the Project </li><li> Lead the technical assessment and selection of construction contractors </li><li> Liaise, provide assistance and support to site teams, involving other departments as necessary. </li><li> Coordinate remotely early activities of construction contractors; coordinate activities of heavy / out of gage transport contractors </li><li> Assess construction priorities and installation sequences, identifying bottlenecks and proactively proposing resolutive execution strategies. Prepare and present documentation to resume the assessment and the conclusions </li><li> Act as focal point towards Clients, site teams, and construction contractors on construction engineering matters </li><li> Execute feasibility studies for the execution of critical lifting and critical transport activities. Review of detailed drawings provided by construction contractors </li><li> Support the definition of construction schedule </li><li> Maintain the necessary records to ensure quality assurance requirements are met </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Engineering degree </li><li> Fully proficient in English </li><li> 10+ year of experience in the execution of EPC projects, including at least five years of site experience </li><li> Experience in Modules Fabrication and Transport project </li><li> Good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills </li><li> Intermediate to high level office computing </li><li> Ability to communicate in an articulate manner with international clients, and construction contractors </li><li> Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful, and proactive </li><li> Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a
