Job Summary Our Dojo at Comcast offers engineering teams an opportunity to learn about the key initiatives we are pursuing inside Comcast TPX while working hands-on with our engineers to bring those initiatives to life. This role guides and grows our Dojo, which consists of a group of engineers and technical program managers who build and execute our coaching plan. We’re looking for a teammate who is transformation minded, deeply steeped in DevOps culture, capable of building a strategy and goals for this team, and an excellent communicator with a passion to share our work across Comcast. Our Dojo is not a place of boring, lecture based learning. It is a vibrant engineering community which uses agile methods to teach and do at the same time. The leader we’re looking for brings a passion for engineering excellence to the role. As a part of the Comcast TPX DevX: Strategy team, you are a vital member of the Comcast Cable CTO's organization. Our team focuses on technology strategy, engineering culture, and developer experience. We drive technology invention and innovation that advances the state of the art and catalyzes growth opportunities for Comcast. We collaborate across TPX to define and accelerate Comcast's technology strategy, and we engage externally with a variety of partners and communities to co-create the future of technology. Job Description Core Responsibilities  Own the development and strategy for the Comcast Dojo team; work within a team to define the business goals, track and measure the success of projects delivered to our internal customers through KPI's.  Implement the strategy that enables the Dojo team to efficiently implement current and future training and development initiatives Advocate for the Dojo across Comcast TPX, and provide insight to include the successes of implementing our agile practices through internal and external speaking engagements.  Collaborate effectively with the Architecture, Engagement, and Open Source teams within the DevX: Strategy organization to continually improve Dojo’s offerings to meet the current and future needs of the Comcast TPX organization Required Qualifications  10+ years of engineering leadership including leading agile transformations, developing teams, and leading large-scale projects. A deep understanding of agile engineering practices, with a passion for DevOps.  A proven track record of guiding, mentoring, and growing talent at all levels.  Ability to engage optimally with partners at all levels, from executive stakeholders to engineers participating in our Dojo.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  A proven dedication to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion Preferred Qualifications  Agile certifications (Scrum master, product owner, or Scrum professional; IC-Agile; Mentor; or similar)  Passionate engagement in DevOps, Agile, or engineering communities outside of Comcast.  While some may meet all required qualifications, many good candidates may not.
