Contract Specialist

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently recruiting for a Contract Specialist with broad experience in the oil and gas industry.<br />
<br />
The position is based in Equatorial Guniea and our preference is for local candidates working an 8 hour day Monday - Saturday.<br />
<br />
As an alternative we will consider expat candidates working an extended rotation of 12 weeks on / 4 weeks off.<br />
<br />
The Contracts Specialist is a position that supports the Procurement and Contracts team by drafting and negotiating contracts as well executing sourcing activities.<br />
<br />
The position oversees the Contracts Management and Contractor Management processes; it also provides support in the process of structuring and amending processes and procedures related to sourcing and contracting. The CS develops, maintains, and optimizes relationships with the Business Units (Project Owners &amp; Requestors,) and serves as an internal coach for junior members of the contracting team, and helps them develop the right skills.<br />

Candidates in this position must be capable of drafting and negotiating Contracts/Call Off orders for different scopes of work ensuring Company&
39;s best legal &amp; commercial interests are maintained while remaining competitive in the market.<br />
<br />
Finally, the Contracts Specialist (CS) issues contract reports to management to provide clarity on the status of all contracts<br />
<br />

Drafting of Contracts</p>

<li>The CS shall be capable of drafting commercial agreements for the provision of services and supply of goods.</li>
<li>The CS shall be capable and experienced in the negotiation of T&amp;Cs for Oil Industry (MSA &amp; CA) contracts.</li>
</ul>

Contracts Analysis and Reports</p>

<li>The CS shall be able to thoroughly analyze different type of contracts for the full understanding of its clauses.</li>
<li>The CS shall also be able to extract specific clauses when needed as well as issue different types of reports.</li>
</ul>

Sourcing Event Administration</p>

<li>The CS shall issue &amp; manage different types of sourcing events including RFQs, Tenders, Direct Negotiations</li>
<li>The CS shall coordinate sourcing activities with the support of other departments, HSE, Operations, etc.</li>

Customer and Supplier Relationship Management</p>

<li>The CS shall actively build and maintain relationships with internal clients, contractors, and suppliers.</li>
<li>The CS shall be able to execute SRM activities including KPIs setting, performance evaluation meetings, etc.</li>
<li>The CS is the contracts and sourcing SME and shall be able to provide expert advice on contracting matters.</li>
</ul>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
<b>Minimum Qualifications: </b></p>

<li>A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent academic background is required</li>
<li>University degree/s on a related field, technical learning, and/or professional certifications are desired and preferred</li>
</ul>

<b>Industry Experience and knowledge: </b></p>

<li>Several years previous experience working in the oil &amp; gas or equivalent industry is desired.</li>

<b>PC Application Skills: </b></p>

<li>Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and also Outlook</li>
