Responsibilities Job Summary The Information Security Engineer I will work with Security Engineering staff in the day-to-day execution of security strategic initiatives, evaluate security components of the network, applications and End-User devices and provides support to the Security Operations Center for incident response and closure. In addition, the Information Security Engineer will participate in the development of the overall processes with respect to security engineering which will include operational security processes, procedures, guidelines and standards within IT and participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment. Assists the Security Architect in developing standard operating procedures, delivery of security solutions, and integration activities. Performs technical audits of systems and applications to ensure compliance with policy, standards and regulations. Identifies and manages assigned security related issues, and works with management to help establish and track security objectives. Participates in vendor selection, and security-related project task execution. Ensures communication and escalation of security activities to senior Security Engineering staff, assists in building and configuration of new security tools and systems. Works with the business departments to assure that their operational requirements are being met in a secure manner. Work with other departments to assist in engineering and or provide technical integration of security solutions and monitoring systems Works with the Chief Information Security Officer Management staff, the IT architecture team and other teams to ensure compliance to security standards and policies. Completes Level 2 – Level 4 Risk Assessments Ensures new systems meet regulatory and technical standards, studies and remains current on the relevant hardware, software and technology in all information security domains. Aligns all activities with the Information Security Program Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree or 4 years' work related experience in the field of computer science, information sciences Required Experience 2 years experience in information technology engineering, information security engineering or architecture Required Facility Support Services Department IT Security Work Hours 8a-5p Shift 01 - Days Position Type Regular Full-Time
