Responsibilities Job Summary The ICP Natural Language Processing (NLP) Analyst II will support ICP's natural language processing(NLP)/text mining program. The NLP Analyst II will meet with stakeholders to gather requirements, create NLP queries using a text mining software, validate the results with stakeholders, and combine the data with additional data sources as needed. The NLP Analyst II will be responsible for setting up best practices for the query life cycle, from query building to validation to the dissemination of validated results and will serve as a subject matter resource on NLP/text mining and advise ICP on the use of NLP/text mining across projects and platforms. Research, design, develop and evaluate information extraction and text classification strategies using a commercial NLP platform applied to a heterogeneous dataset composed of non-structured textual reference data ( e.g., clinical notes and reports). Develop text mining strategies for use cases in healthcare with specific applications to population health, such as creating patient registries, gathering social determinates of health, extracting patient quality data, etc. Ability to turn the data into reports and presentations across the company using PowerPoint, Excel, and other data visualization tools (Tableau). Interact with physician champions, various ICP departments and others to gather and document query requirements and validate results. Work with Application Development Team to automate indexes, tasks, queries and other related items. Assist teams to improve query performance, output optimization among other needs that may arise from time to time. Collaborate with other team members for integrating NLP results into the enterprise data warehouse and creating end-to-end data products and solutions. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science or related field Required Experience 3 years Information Technology/Population Health experience within a health care environment Required 4 years Working with domain ontologies such as ICD9 & 10, CPT, LOINC, RxNorm, SNOMED CT or similar ontologies Required 2 years NLP/text mining software (Linguamatics, IBM Watson, Epic’s Cognitive Computing Platform, etc.) Required Facility Innovation Care Partners Department ICP Info Technology Work Hours 8a-5p Shift 01 - Days Position Type Regular Full-Time
