The Role: Development Manager Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 13 The Location: Princeton, NJ or Virtual, US Team S&P Global structured finance value stream technology team consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible to develop scalable solutions by working directly with product development team. Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of software engineering experience as individual contributor and as people leader Familiarity with well architected frameworks in modern era, and experience in migration monolithic applications on on-premises data centers to cloud Long standing hands-on experience in building web applications, APIs, etc. using java and/or .net technology stack Experience in wide range of technologies to develop software products end-to-end involving UI, APIs, Databases, etc. Experience in building DevOps pipelines for applications and infrastructure Experience in data engineering, SQL/NOSQL databases, Big Data, and Analytics Familiarity with Information Security, and experience in addressing security vulnerabilities Strong knowledge and experience on cloud technologies and services Expectations Lead SAFe by example Gathers and refines requirements by engaging with stakeholders, product manager, and QA manager Keeps track of technical debt, periodic maintenance needs, DevOps/SRE improvements and ensures continuous progress is made Identifies the dependencies, negotiate with and/or influence the dependent teams to ensure optimal solutions are designed and implemented Provides thought leadership in proactively identifying the gaps in the team, in influencing product teams by replanning around the gaps so we don’t run into major risks in delivering the products Production readiness is ensured by following all tollgates and ensure production environment is highly stable and reliable Score cards are maintained and reported consistently Enables developers by developing required architecture, design, and reference implementation Attracts, recruits, trains and retains capable Engineers Empowers engineers to be able to make decisions Sets high standards for the team Takes accountability for product delivery Removes impediments Reviews design and code Mentors and coaches developers Strives to improve productivity Promotes teamwork and collaboration Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated minimum base salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 depending on experience, with addition to bonus. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
