Aisle Insights Analyst

OVERVIEW: You are a planogram and customer advisor and bring strategic thinking to deliver unbiased insights that drive game-changing Category and Shelf Management solutions. Your expertise drives strong customer partnerships and enables total category growth. This role requires experience with Planogram software (JDA). This role reports into Customer & Aisle Insights Manager. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Drive Category growth through recommending winning shelving strategies and customer-friendly planograms: Be a subject matter expert in category and shelf management; and bring strategic thinking and deliver unbiased insights. Be responsible for best practices through the participation and implementation of corporate initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations pertaining to planogram assortment, planogram execution, shelving strategies and best in class planograms. 2. Cultivate strong customer partnership across retailers to influence category results: Drive Customer Partnership, enable Advisorships, and/or Category Captaincy to grow influence on category outcomes. Lead unbiased Customer-Centric Category initiatives to drive growth. Analyze and identify opportunities to accelerate shelf performance. Provide Category-centric and Retailer-specific assortment optimization and shelving best practice recommendations. Build position as industry insights leaders through consistent innovative shelf solution ideas. Opportunity to partner with external customer directly 3. Partner with Sales teams and Business Units to translate strategies and plans to on shelf assortment and solutions: Partner on shelving strategic initiatives with internal stakeholders. Provide story-building and insights on shelving challenges. Own management of share of shelf and planogram related analytics. KEY COMPETENCIES: Problem Solving & Analytic skills Strategic Business Planning skills Integrity and drive to always do the right thing for the category Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and retailers QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree, business or related field 3+ years’ experience in providing planogram and shelving recommendations Expert navigation planogram software required (JDA) Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources (e.g. Nielsen, Customer sales data) Driver’s License Customer facing, direct account; and/or retail sales experience (preferred) General Mills is committed to Employment Equity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
