Scientist - Flow Assurance

<p><strong>Job Scope</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Leads Roadmapping process for program, from identification of current and future program-related challenges to their translation into R&amp;D and TM projects</li>
<li>Oversees update of roadmap for program by re-prioritizing and adding new projects based on alignment with strategic objectives. Reviews risks related to assigned program portfolio, and implements mitigation measures</li>
<li>Provides subject-matter-expert input in diagnosing and validating challenges with assets, and in detailed definition of projects</li>
<li>Approves R&amp;D/TM project approaches and methodologies for solving program challenges. Provides steer on the mode of delivery of projects (i.e. in-house vs. external collaboration)</li>
<li>Identifies and establishes requirements to execute R&amp;D/TM projects within assigned program (e.g. manpower, laboratories, budget)</li>
<li>Guides R&amp;D and TM personnel to deliver cutting-edge research projects, from research design to execution, as per defined project timelines</li>
<li>Identifies engineering support to take a project from concept to prototype and to scale-up phase, in coordination with R&amp;D Prototyping</li>
<li>Defines implementation plan for research projects based on outcomes, including pilots, additional research phases etc.</li>
<li>Appraises collaborator relationships by monitoring progress of ongoing collaboration research</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of relevant competitive IP in order to direct program-level research, and develop a strategically aligned intellectual property portfolio</li>
<li>Supervises mentorship process for Researchers in program-related areas</li>
<li>Participates in industry seminars, workshops, consortia, and conferences to keep abreast of leading industry practices and developments. Organizes workshops with assets to disseminate acquired knowledge</li>

<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p>

<p>PhD in Petroleum Engineering (Production), Petroleum Engineering (Reservoir), Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.</p>

<ul>
<li>20+ years of professional work experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years of relevant R&amp;D experience (After PhD)</li>
<li>Track record of publications and IP in the field</li>
<li>In-depth understanding of program-related challenges and best practices in the oil and gas industry.</li>
