Business Improvement Analyst

The Flexible Pipe System (FPS) Offshore business within Baker Hughes is a leading industry supplier of unbonded flexible pipelines to API 17J with a 25+ year track record in the supply of flexible pipeline riser and flowline system globally to a range of international customers.<br />

Working through the project life cycle including Planning, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics etc. This role will develop a detailed understanding of FPS products/processes which will be critical in identifying areas of business improvements.<br />
<br />
As a Business Improvement Analyst, you will be responsible for:</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Acting as a key focal point for cost overruns on projects</li>
<li>Collating financial data on overspend / leakages quarterly and investigating to identify causes and corrective actions required</li>
<li>Working with functional leaders to ensure implementation of the corrective actions and monitor data to ensure no reoccurrence</li>
<li>Performing data trend analysis to identify areas of focus for improvement, working with functional leaders to validate findings/implement action plans</li>
<li>Carrying out ad hoc improvement projects across functions to reduce product cost or reduce likelihood of execution overspends</li>
<li>Supporting product cost out activities for region and providing support to Productivity Project Managers and Data to Insights Leads where required</li>
<li>Owning the overspend / leakages database and maintaining data and functionality for wider business including one stop dashboards and quarterly reports</li>
<li>Understanding and report key business performance metrics</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Have a BSc in Finance, Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management/Social Sciences, or relevant significant professional experience.</li>
<li>Have Lean Six Sigma experience</li>
<li>Be proficient in Microsoft packages, specifically Excel</li>
<li>Be able to demonstrate expertise and experience in project management, finance or data analytics</li>
<li>Have excellent stakeholder relationship skills that inspire trust and confidence</li>
<li>Have effective leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, influence and resolve conflict</li>
<li>Have passion for the work, intellectual rigor and professional discipline while running the project</li>
