Find out more: Product Pipeline Senior Medical Manager – Non-Dialysis-Dependent Chronic Kidney Disease (NDD-CKD) (m/w/d) The Senior Medical Manager – NDD-CKD is an office-based senior professional who uses comprehensive medical knowledge and detailed medical insights into the Reality of Care in the Therapeutic Area (TA) to develop and execute the strategic plan for a defined indication under the general supervision of the Medical Affairs Lead. The Senior Medical Advisor engages in peer-to-peer communication, drives data and insights generation in the indication and develops cutting edge scientific information with external stakeholders. He/she leads internal senior stakeholders such as Medical, Regional/Global Medical incl. RWE/VEO, Patient Relations, Market Access, Commercial and Clinical R&D. The mission of the position is to develop and drive our strategy regarding the Unmet Medical Need for Anemia in non-dialysis-dependent Chronic Kidney Disease (NDD-CKD). It offers an exciting opportunity for a professional of considerable seniority with comprehensive experience in Medical Affairs and the ambition to apply science to shape healthcare and deliver solutions to close the existing gaps in patient care. Responsibilities: Strategic development and implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy for NDD-CKD in alignment with the overall TA plan while reflecting the specifics of the country e.g., different standards of care. Herein individual responsibility for the Real World Evidence strategy in NDD-CKD as integral part of the overall TA plan Interact with key external experts in NDD-CKD to support generation of key customer insights that shape our value evidence strategy Assess RWE/collaborative capabilities and opportunities as well as identify/facilitate select opportunities for partnership Active knowledge acquisition in the therapeutic area; ability to interpret and communicate clinical study data in line with evidence-based-medicine principles, focus on unmet medical need within the respective TA Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with external experts, healthcare institutions and scientific societies Collaboration with the global therapeutic area team for scientific exchange and co-creation of the disease area strategy and tactics in NDD-CKD Requirements: Advanced medical or life science degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) At least 5 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs Senior expertise with proven track record of strategic planning and implementation incl. epidemiological data analysis and designing, implementing and managing (Real World) Evidence generation Strong analytical capabilities to drive data-based decision making and planning Excellent networker thriving in an agile environment, able to interact with senior stakeholders also on a regional or global level Growth mindset with the willingness and ability to challenge the status quo Ambitious for patients, accountable for impact Experience in the following therapeutic areas is highly desirable: Nephrology, Anemia Flexibility to travel in Germany, international travel (Europe) may be required (~20%) Why GSK?
