Þputy Director - AIX & HPUX Administration

Overview The Deputy Director - AIX & HPUX Administration is part of the IT Operations team within the PepsiCo CTO Organization at Hyderabad and reports to the Director of IT Operations. PepsiCo has a multivendor hybrid outsourced model for its Infrastructure IT operations. The PepsiCo IT Operations team works with various businesses, in-house IT teams, IT partners, and OEMs to maintain high-quality services around the clock. The Deputy Director - AIX & HPUX Administration would be responsible for managing a large estate of complex Linux Systems in an Enterprise Environment using IBM AIX and HPUX. As a result of rapid growth, the global nature of the business, and the history of multiple outsourcing arrangements, PepsiCo's landscape needs to be more cohesive, with numerous duplications in data and tools and low process adherence. One of the critical expectations of this role is to be streamlined and drive large-scale change forward. This role will need to quickly understand the current landscape and develop the road map to achieve the desired future state. Responsibilities >Manage a large estate of complex Linux Systems in an Enterprise Environment using IBM AIX and HPUX. >Responsible for the implementation of IT solutions and the leadership of project's technical implementation team, including any detailed design activities >Demonstrate an ability to manage problems through to resolution, with an eye for detail and accuracy and an aptitude for analytical and logical methodologies. >Advise and support team members in their technical activities in both delivery and operational environments, with an ability to adapt to changing technologies. Qualifications Mandatory Skills >Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience. >10-12+ years of experience in Systems Administration of Linux and Unix systems in a large-scale production environment. > Must have hands on experience in IBM AIX and HPUX > Thorough knowledge of good server and system administration principles. > Have knowledge on ITIL process, change management, Incident management. >Having experience running Disaster recovery tests, application failovers. >Understanding of SSL certificates and chain certificates Preferred Skills > Networking knowledge on DNS, IP, NFS, Load balancers, Certificates management >Scripting skills like shell, YAML, automations like Ansible. >>Familiarity with C language a plus > Knowledge on AWS and/or Azure
