SUMMARY Manage the day to day operations of a Software Development Team. Mentoring and training for Software development teams. Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff. Researches and designs solutions to issues reported by the business. RESPONSIBILITIES Development Duties as required; ensures production systems are adequately monitored for performance issues, scheduling and recovery. Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff - including coding standards, change process and documentation. Research, define and design solutions to IT Issues reported by the business; provide formal Design documentation where necessary; make recommendations for application re-writes where appropriate & infrastructure changes or improvements when necessary Meet with Users to discuss problems and negotiate prioritization of problems based on financial impact to the business and alignment with strategic direction. REQUIREMENTS Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent. Area of Study: Computer Science Years of Experience: Five to seven years.
