Application Engineer

Application Engineer responsibilities are to configure and implement the automation of product customizations for customers requiring engineer-to-order. He/She will participate and support in the development, validation and implementation of automated manufacturing and test equipment. Continuous improvement, maintenance and deployment of systems and digital processes used in a lean manufacturing facility. Main responsibilities: Responsible to automate customer specific product modifications for production of power meters Responsible for the creation of custom test reports Responsible for driving continuous Improvement of digital transformation for digital tools and manufacturing processes Support tasks related to trouble shooting and improving automated solutions with support of different IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) tools Develop solutions using Data Flow Programming to automate data acquisition and test equipment behavior Completes test specifications and test procedures for new customizations Collaborate with the Quality department to monitor effectiveness of test process and test-systems Support upgrade and commissioning of production test equipment. Qualifications & Skills required: Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP Experience with Data Flow Programming (LabView) / SQL / Node-RED Experience de-bugging and troubleshooting Good communication and documentation skills Experience writing test plans, test specification and test procedures 5+ years overall manufacturing test/validation experience Knowledge of PLCs / VBA / T SQL / XML / CSS / HTML a plus Bachelor's degree in either electrical engineering, software engineering, computer science or Bachelor's degree in Supply chain with substantial programming experience.
