Role Overview This opportunity is seeking a leader to drive and execute on the growth of the Utilities Practice for Wipro’s US Strategic Consulting business. Here you will envision the strategy and cultivate new and existing accounts in the region. You will also be ideating on where to focus on to deliver profitable business for the accounts and consulting. As the regional lead you will partner and lead client engagements across consulting as well as leading large projects. Additionally, you will grow skills and consulting competencies of your team (talent management). As an industry thought leader you will present and share internally as well as externally ideations and POVs that speak to and/or solve pertinent problems in the utility industry as well as more broadly. This role is expected to deliver growth across the following areas; As a Subject matter Expert in T&D domain which includes Grid Operations, IT- OT integration and Grid modernization you will work as a thought leader shaping the opportunities across existing clients as well as new prospects to help them transform their business processes. Regional D&C Head is expected to build C-level relationships, drive visible thought leadership for the sector to originate growth pathways, and leverage strategic partnerships (with analysts, advisory teams and Technology providers) as relevant for market development strategy. The role is goaled on growth (Domain and Consulting Revenues, Order Booking – Total Contract Value), Profitability (Operating margin) and consulting led origination of deals and thought leadership. This role will build, develop and manage Consulting Partners in the region who are assigned to accounts or cluster of accounts. An MBA or equivalent advanced experience in Utilities operational transformation and related digital technologies At least 15 years of experience within the utilities industry and at least 10 years of consulting experience. Proven track record of transformational and strategic consulting sales, and strong focus on governance, delivery, and operational management. With a proven record of delivering sustainable customer value. Strong domain knowledge and experience of developing and delivering strategic business and transformative initiatives with a significant focus on Digital. Relevant experience working as an SME for the Utilities Industry within in a consulting delivering growth and transformation. Experience in consultative and outcome sales delivering differentiated value and opportunities for new business models. Good understanding of Data & Analytics, IoT areas Good understanding of the regulations and know-how of US Utilities Ability to travel 4 days a week to client locations. Skills: Significant demonstrable experience solving business problems through transformation shaping using core and disruptive technologies including: Smart metering, AMI 2.0, Grid Operations – EMS. SCADA, ADMS, DMS, OMS, Field Area Network solutions, IT-OT Integration Deep functional experience with Itron / LNG systems. Proven track record in growing as well as sustaining and growing client account revenues through existing and new consulting engagements Deep understanding and passion for innovative customer models, products, services and business re-platforming strategies Outstanding leadership, communication, relationship building and networking skills on the client side, ecosystem partners and internal organization Creative, collaborative and motivating consulting leader who can focus diverse teams on common outcomes and goals Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude and pragmatic approach, together with a strong desire to learn and shape your own career path Gravitas to engage and grow relationships with senior business and IT clients/leaders
