Þtails Department: Associate Travel Program - Surgical Services Schedule: Multiple Shifts available, 40 hours per week Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals Location: requires travel to various locations more than 50 miles away from primary residence This position is a permanent, full time position made up of travel assignments -not a short term option or temporary contract. Connect with your Talent Advisor today for additional specifics. Responsibilities Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credentials: • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required. Work Experience: None required. Additional Preferences Additional Preferences: One year of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
