OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Program Support Engineer. Responsibilities Assist in the creation of internal assembly & test procedures, and report documentation Provide ongoing internal programs support, assist Project Engineering in maintaining OTD and meeting promised deliverables, i.e. hardware, data, and reports Work closely with manufacturing engineering and take responsibility for process verification and validation prior to manufacturing implementation Develop user procedures and programming documentation for all internal software as needed, assist with training as needed Assist with experiments, test article inspection and measurement, and data tracking Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent is required Preferred candidate will have 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering Experience Understanding of electronics is required Knowledge of data analysis and visual representation of data is required Ability to use common software tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, & Word is needed Ability to use common laboratory tools, voltmeters, microscopes, measurement tools, etc. Ability to troubleshoot test equipment & software, etc. Knowledge of analytics, LEAN manufacturing, statistics, SPC, photodiode metrology, fault tree/fishbone analysis, root cause investigations, programming, advanced material analysis techniques, etc. are helpful but not required As a team player, you work perseveringly together with your colleagues to meet task and program objectives Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic project-oriented team environment in a must Remain focused on finding solutions even when under pressure Experience within a relevant industry is a plus Occasional night and weekend support A willingness to learn and to provide support to programs with a sense of urgency are key attributes of the ideal candidate Please review our benefits here: Life at OSI The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location and date of hire.
