The Senior Manager will collaborate with the Director, Strategy and Operations - KPMG Law and Director of Talent to develop and execute talent strategies nationally that will help us to effectively deploy, retain, engage and develop the right talent in the right ways for our current and future business needs. The Senior Manager plays a key role in delivering on our Business Enablement vision and ‘How can I help you’ service culture through support to Business Unit Leader(s), Develop Leader(s), and People Leaders. Trusted advisor, coach, and influencer to the KPMG Law Leadership, Business Unit Leaders (BUL) and Service Line Leaders on talent related matters. Understands and articulates clients’ business strategy, challenges, and opportunities. Implements and monitors the effectiveness of national strategic people initiatives. Collaborates with the Director, Strategy and Operations to implement talent strategies and plans aligned with business needs. Supports change management within the business unit. Discerns insights and trends from information and data, and leverages them to identify opportunities for change that will deliver value and impact to the business. Develops and maintains excellent relationships with stakeholders and provides support in the execution of their accountabilities. Provides guidance and hands on support to the KPMG Law practice in implementing HR programs and processes Regularly monitors the effectiveness of national HR programs, processes, and services, and raises concerns, and provides feedback to the relevant Centre of Excellence to drive continuous improvement based on business needs Analyzes and interprets Global People Survey (employee survey) results for KPMG Law and present results to the KPMG Law Leadership team to strategize on action plans and communications. Participates on national HR project teams, playing a track lead or contributory role. Responsible for annual HR processes nationally for KPMG Law which includes performance management, compensation review, leadership programs etc. Supports leaders in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Identifies opportunities to embed diversity, inclusion and equity in local processes and programs. What you bring to the role Bachelor’s degree in HR or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and post-secondary diploma or certificate in HR A CHRP, or CHRL designation is considered an asset. 7+ years of experience in Human Resources in a professional services environment. Previous experience in a law firm is considered an asset. Fluently bilingual in both English and French is considered an asset. A strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities for multiple stakeholders. Strategic thinking and exceptional communication skills. Ability to develop strong relationships with internal clients, gain credibility, and be viewed as a trusted advisor. Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills A skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, who is able to engage and inspire action from leaders and staff. Works well in corporate shared services, team environment. Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills with the ability to adapt content & depth for intended audiences.
