Engineering Manager for New Product Development Enclosures/Low Voltage Systems (m/w/d)

We make what matters work. We look for a Engineering Manager with focus on managerial and technical team leading of new Product Development for Enclosures and Low Voltage Systems. Your main responsibilities: Development, Validation and Documentation of Enclosures and Low Voltage Systems products and platforms within the frame of an project management stage gate process Market adaptations and extensions of existing Enclosure and Low Voltage Systemes products and platforms Lead engineering for platforms, projects and programs which improve the future profitability and growth potentials Integration of breakers and switchgears into new and existing Enclosure and Low Voltage Systems products and platforms Ensuring compliance to latest product standards in conjunction with Product Line support team Maintain close relationship to Product line support and Innovation teams and Eatons engineering centers across the globe Managing Engineering group, guides career development of subordinates and ensures a robust pipeline of diverse talent to capitalize on opportunities. Providing expertise (acts as an expert) for products, technology and regulations and carries knowledge for functional and operational business Ensuring the development of future professionals (product specialists, etc.) Providing interface to all relevant functions in documentation & PLS (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, ToolShop, Product Management, Sales Support, Logistics, SCM, Quality department, Manufacturing, Controlling, …) via dedicated product specialists Technical lead for his sub-teams on all electromechanical product / technology related topics and design packages to meet project milestones Conducting prototype analysis and result assessments Developing and finalizes test programs to achieve external approvals. Ensuring and driving all necessary product improvement and product testing for maintaining product compliance in conjunction with Manager PLS Providing input to technology roadmaps, product roadmaps and profit / project plans/ product specifications Acquiring an understanding of the market and links technology objectives to end user needs by providing input for further decisions even prior to or during the NPD PROLaunch process. Managing all technical product (design) issues to ensure product availability in the right quality throughout the product Life cycle in conjunction with Manager PLS acc. to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EHS regulation Ensuring completeness and actuality of documentation such as technical file / product design documentation Driving use of senior level simulation methodologies and Eaton DFSS in cooperation with other Eaton technical teams Contributing to standardization groups and drives patent activities - this includes performing feasibility studies, development and initial approval and type testing on new products and contribution in the process of realization under highest quality, economic and ecological criteria Are you? Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HTL, FH, Universtity) Strong experience in electrical or mechanical engineering Experience in Electrotechnical products (Enclosure and Low Voltage Systems prferred) and developments of similar products Knowledge about product testing, standardization and product compliance Knowledge about designing molded parts and sheet metal parts and their production methods Experience in CAD and ERP systems Demonstrated team leading skills Strong English and German skills Project management skills Experience in collaboration with distributed (virtual) development teams in different international locations Interested in creating and developping new things Structured way of working Then we want to hear about you!
