New Product Introduction Engineering

The New Product Introduction Engineering candidate understands all aspects of flexible and rigid-flex circuit board manufacturing as well as customer performance and quality requirements. They will assist in the development of processes and procedures to consistently manufacture flexible circuit boards. The candidate will oversee all new product activities in the facility, including traveler/stackup generation, production details, and post-mortem follow-up. They will help to develop new processes and new production techniques as needed in order for the products to be successful. The successful candidate will own the NPI process in the facility and will provide daily updates to the management team. Responsibilities Manage the NPI process for new products/parts into the facility, including regular updates to the Operations team and the NPI list. Liaise with customers to receive approval for build stack-ups and process/design changes. This includes any TQs that might be needed for improved manufacturing ability. Create and release job travelers for new products. Coordinate with production/quality/Engineering department for process sequence determination that are to be incorporated into the job travelers. Create stack-up for new jobs based on customer print. Resolve any discrepancies between the customer print/specifications and the proposed build stack-up, by coordinating with sales personnel. Perform impedance calculation using Polar software. Support electrical test department on any impedance measurement issues. Modify /change traveler steps as requested by Production/Engineering/Quality team after proper evaluation on the requested changes. The evaluation should consider the review of customer print, revision level, and specifications. Create and maintain engineering files for new products and any Rev changes. Maintain CIMNET database by accurately keeping the product details that includes changes in product revs, build sequence, and stackup. Coordinate with Purchasing department for any new material purchases that is required for the new jobs upon receiving the PO from the customer. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline required. 7+ years of progressive hands-on experience in a PCB manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required. Good analytical and problem-solving skills preferred. Must possess the ability to multitask, ensuring accuracy and completion for each task. Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD, CIMNET and Polar software is desirable. Ability to work independently without regular supervision.
