The Network Engineer will design, build, deliver, and maintain Local Area Network (LAN) solutions to address business and technical requirements, leveraging standard principles and patterns. The position will ensure the integrity and stability of enterprise network systems. This position is also responsible for designing and implementing new processes and best practices and serves as Subject Matter Expert and provides technical training to global teams as needed. The position must interface globally to support network solutions in a follow-the-sun support model. Job Responsabilities: Designs, builds, delivers, and maintains LAN solutions to meet customer requirements, and leads overall efforts in working with cross-functional teams Implements processes, standards, and governance of local area network environments Provides subject matter expertise and leadership of network technologies contributing to integrated solution designs, development, and implementation Identifies and makes appropriate changes to technologies, integrated platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements Monitors Local Area Networks and LAN/Wireless hardware to ensure required performance, availability, and capacity. Eliminates gaps in monitoring, reduces potential impact on service delivery, and proposes new key performance metrics. Performs service restoration for the LAN as required. As a LAN engineer, candidate will provide escalated level support for occurances of service interruption working with 3rd party partners and Eaton internal support staff. Continuously seeks to more efficiently manage and utilize technology, platforms, and systems Highlights design risks, provide alternative options, and recommend quality solution to specified problem Strong ability to document and set standards Incorporate Security controls and technologies into the overall system implementations Enable automation to reduce release cycle time and provide Higher Quality Are you? Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution at least 5 years of experience in a similar position Infrastructure experience Experience in Cisco, Alcatel network LAN and wireless environments and related management and monitoring tools. Experience in WAN and Security environments (Sophos, CHeckPoint, Fortinet firewall,...) and related management and monitoring tools. Soft Skills: Leadership, Communication, Collaboration.
