The Opportunity The Information Security team secures business critical applications containing client and employee / Partner data and confidential information used by KPMG people. The team members work with all the other teams above to achieve their security goal. KPMG Canada is looking for a dynamic individual to lead Information Security for Government of Canada contracts. This role is based in Ottawa and reports to the Senior Manager Information Security. The ideal candidate would have good understanding of Government of Canada (GC) security requirements, knowledge of the Policy on Government Security and applicable directives that fall under it. The selected individual will become and advisor to KPMG client service teams working on GC and Crown Corporations contracts and help envision and creation of IT solutions including cloud services that can meet clients' requirements for physical and IT security. The individual will be a key member of the Contract Security team at KPMG, will be managing contract security staff (1), will be leading project and GC Cloud initiatives, and will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the information security program. What you will do Acting as an ACSO, support the Company Security Officer (CSO) in fulfilling responsibilities related to security clearance processing and Industrial Security Act as a trusted advisor for KPMG client service teams, review Government of Canada security requirements and propose IT solutions to meet Contract Security Manual (CSM) requirements Work with senior leaders to make and implement recommendations to adhere to security requirements under the Public Services and Procurement Canada's Contract Security Program (CSP) Leading cross-functional teams including IT architecture and operations, developing business cases to advance firm’s SaaS Support multiple security engagements of varying size, scope and complexity Motivate engagement teams and provide day-to-day guidance What you bring to the role Complexity: Navigate the complex process of i) security clearances ii) various types of Federal bids and contracts Lead and contribute to firm’s push for GC Cloud Building relationships (internal and external) to facilitate information gathering and sharing, to aid firm’s Federal contracts. Learning new skills (contracts, basic IT architecture, obtaining buy-in, interacting with GC) Supports available: Analyst and Senior Manger on the Federal Contract Security team Business leaders including the Lead Partner, Federal Contracts ITS leadership HRBP Excellent working relationship with GoC, particularly with Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) External resources including GoC Canadian Center for Cyber Security (CCCS), our working relationship with CCCS trainer/consultant. Knowledge and skills including understanding in Federal bid/contract processes, the Buy and Sell website and associated training and services, and the Canada Buys website for looking up contract opportunities. University/ College 4Yrs 2 years of security clearance experience (good to have in directly related field), plus 3-4 years of applicable work experience in other fields. Security clearance from the Government of Canada is required Prior experience in leading teams and achieve operational and strategic goals. Prior experience with IT Architecture, Operations, Networks, Identity and Access Management, Cloud, and Security technologies Ability to learn on the job and make recommendations & decisions based on business priorities and sound logic Completion, or ability to complete Canadian Center for Cyber Security courses relating to GC Cybersecurity. Leveraging your understanding of GC departments' cloud security requirements to help client service teams in winning and fulfilling GC contracts. Good understanding of GC Contract Security Manual (CSM), Contract Security Program and security requirements for working on Federal contracts Understanding of organizational and individual security clearance requirements as well as the process for designated organization screening (DOS), facility security clearance (FSC) and personnel security clearances CISSP, CISA, CISM and or similar security certifications are highly desirable Knowledge of GC Direction on the Secure Use of Commercial Cloud Services, Cloud Guardrails and Cloud Guardrails for O365 is highly desirable Knowledge of security audit and risk assessment frameworks is highly desirable Understanding of ISO 27001, 27002, 27017 and 27018 is highly desirable Keys to your success KPMG individuals Deliver Impact | Seek Growth | Inspire Trust and understand that a diverse workforce enables us to deepen relationships and strengthen our business.
