JV Job Description Looking for a person having a strong technical knowledge of WordPress application development & CMS concepts, backed with an equally strong hands-on experience. Should be fluent with the design concepts using latest WordPress as well as be well versed with the best practices in the development, testing & deployment phases. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY - Have overall 3-6 years of IT experience on WordPress including latest versions of the CMS. - Write clean, well-designed code and contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle - Strong hands-on experience with Web development technologies, including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript - Demonstrated, excellent skills in custom theme creation & customization, plugin selection and customization - Knowledge of payment gateway integrations, 3rd party API integrations - Experience understand of the Agile ways of working - Designing and implementing new features and functionality - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. - To create own themes based on requirements from HTML scratch - Must have excellent communication, analytical & presentation skills. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - Building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de-facto standard plugins - Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery - Good understanding of HOOKS concepts in WordPress. - Knowledge of customization in themes, templates, plugins and integration and custom post types - Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues, and web performance optimization. - Experience in developing websites with Multilingual support - Understanding of SEO plugins and usage of it to comply to SEO standards - Experience working on the Pantheon hosting platform would be preferred - Experience working on other CMS would be nice to have.
