Construction Superintendent - Tank Construction

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Massy Wood is recruiting for a Construction Superintendent with significant experience in the oil, gas and construction industries. <br><br><ul><li> Efficiently Plan, implement and manage a team of construction personnel including Construction Supervisors and Coordinators. </li><li> Knowlegde of API 650 Tank building techniques. </li><li> Act of the Site controller for Greenfield permit activities. </li><li> Provide Tank constructability input to the design and direction in the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, test and pre-commissioning of Tank installation, to ensure compliance with the agreed scopes of work and project schedule. </li><li> Review of work packs including detailed Job card man-hour estimating and compilation of WBS's. </li><li> Manage/ lead site Tank execution and preforms look ahead to ensure workflow seamlessly to site </li><li> Identifies all roadblock/ issues and carry out problem solving techniques to solve. </li><li> Participate in client kick off meetings to understand scope </li><li> Drive the Tank construction and commissioning contractors with the preparation of their plans and procedures assuring they are both achievable and technically acceptable in-line with the project and legislative requirements </li><li> Ensure that Tank construction hazards and risks are fully considered by designers and contractors and that appropriate mitigation actions are implemented, and appropriate action taken </li><li> Maintain the required technical quality of work. </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Technician's diploma in engineering from a recognized institution. </li><li> Minimum of Fifteen (15) - Twenty (25) years' experience in construction in oil and gas industry with involvement in Process piping and equipment projects </li><li> Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information. </li><li> Ability to read and understand P&ID's for process and piping systems </li><li> Ability to delegate work assignments and give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities. </li><li> Knowledge of Construction information systems. </li><li> Knowledge of Construction planning, scheduling and reliability concepts. </li><li> Ability to work effectively and prioritize in a high performance, fast-paced work environment </li><li> Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback </li><li> Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. </li><li> Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment. </li><li> Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly. </li><li> Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness. </li><li> National citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad & Tobago. </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
