Main Accountabilities: </p>
<p>
Quality of own deliverables. </p>
<p>
Timely delivery of reports, calculations and drawings. </p>
<p>
Support the development of the rigid pipeline team's tools and guidance notes. </p>
<p>

<p>
Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria): </p>
<p>
The rigid pipelines team is involved in a mixture of short turnaround operations support work and longer term subsea detailed design work scopes. The work performed by the Pipeline Engineer can be summarised as follows: </p>
<p>
Pre-execute studies to support the front-end team and tenders. </p>
<p>
Detailed design studies to support the execution of projects.</p>
<p>
Post operational studies (i.e., life extensions, fitness for purpose to support the IRM business). </p>
<p>
Design/analysis of subsea rigid pipelines (Single pipelines, PIP etc.)</p>
<p>
Design/analysis of rigid tie in spools &amp; risers. </p>
<p>
Review and provide assurance of the quality of all subsea rigid pipeline work subcontracted by the client.</p>
<p>
Contributing to the technical development of the rigid pipeline team.</p>
<p>
Consult and help solve various engineering problems. </p>
<p>

<p>
Qualifications: </p>
<p>
Must have: </p>
<p>
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aeronautical). </p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
Nice to have: </p>
<p>
Post graduate degree (M.Sc or Ph.D) in Engineering. </p>
<p>
Chartered Engineer. </p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
Typical background and experience required: </p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
Must have: </p>
<p>
2+ years' experience in subsea pipeline engineering.</p>
<p>
A general understanding of pipeline and subsea engineering.</p>
<p>
Proven technical track record in the design of subsea pipelines and/or risers. </p>
<p>
Applied understanding of pipeline global buckling.</p>
<p>
Good communication skills, both written and oral.</p>
<p>
Team Player.</p>
<p>
Customer focus.</p>
<p>
Self-motivated, with a drive for results and improvement.</p>
<p>
Ability to manage change.</p>
<p>
Good computer literacy (e.g. in MS Office).</p>
<p>
Experience using Abaqus FE for the in place analysis of pipelines.</p>
<p>
A good understanding of all relevant design codes and recommended practices.</p>
<p>
Full command of the English Language. </p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
Nice to have: </p>
<p>
Proven ability to program in Python and/or VBA.</p>
<p>
Awareness of flow assurance, material selection, metocean and geotechnical engineering.</p>
<p>
Knowledge of using Sage Profile, Ansys, Autopipe, Orcaflex and MathCad. </p>
<p>
Proven track record of the design of PIP systems.</p>
