Senior Data Engineer

We are looking forward to hire a talented Senior Data Software Engineer with database background, who is both an expert in enterprise software development and passionate about producing world class software solutions, in Eaton’s electrical business. This is a important role to facilitate Eaton's digital office to fulfill its vision on data monetization. He/she must be capable to analyze, discover and deliver valuable/monetizable data product features to maximize our products' revenue opportunities. He/she must possess strong work ethic and strong team spirit. He/She must have a keen eye for product quality and take meeting the product delivery deadlines seriously. Job Responsibilities: 1.Responsible of building product features that collect, manage and convert raw data into consumable and valuable business information. 2.Deploy/enhance/implement machine-learning algorithms to build automated analytical models to learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. 3.Collaborate with the CIP team on data engineering and data science algorithm/feature development. 4.Work with the product team to fully understand the business needs and design data fulfilment solution. 5.Continuously improve and enhance the existing Business Analysis Module functionalities. 6.Continuously improve and enhance the existing data collection, storage and processing mechanism in the current Postgres relational database. 7.Deliver required data/database reports based upon business needs. 8.Design and improve the What If data model based upon customer needs. 9.Perform and optimize ETL deployment. 10.Deliver forward-thinking database code with excellence in quality, performance, maintainability, extendibility. 11.Master cutting edge machine-learning, business intelligence and database technologies with strong self-learning capabilities. Apply the acquired knowledge and experiences to effectively resolve real-world software challenges. Qualifications Qualifications: Education required: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or related major from a 4-year accredited university. Years and area of experience required: 5+ years experience in machine-learning / big data analysis / business intelligence and database administration.
