<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in the Brisbane office. <br><br>Responsible for the leadership and management of a deployed supply chain project team providing all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Manage a team of Procurement & Subcontract Specialists, Expeditors & Material Controllers based in Brisbane & PNG </li><li> Interface with the Project team in Brisbane to get an alignment on resource requirements. Continually review team size and manage hiring of additional resources as required, both in Brisbane & PNG </li><li> Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan and contracting strategy </li><li> Assist with development of Project Procurement Plans </li><li> Development of bidder lists and sourcing strategies in accordance with client requirements; </li><li> Continually look at developing in-country vendor / fabricator base for supply in accordance with client project requirements </li><li> Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and external customers; </li><li> Initiate and participate in the prequalification and approval of new suppliers, followed by ongoing supplier management </li><li> Issuance of Request for Quote packages and commercial assessment of vendor bids ensuring optimum value for the client as a result of thorough technical and commercial bid evaluations </li><li> Manage supplier negotiations ensuring accurate interpretation and definition of agreed terms pre-award along with contract management post-award </li><li> Provide procurement support to projects through the procurement and expedition of materials and vendor data on schedule and within cost to contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects; Co-ordinate with Freight forwarders for timely shipment, clearance at PNG port and delivery to designated yard </li><li> Issue Procurement reports providing visibility on all aspects of Procurement to respective Project teams. Participate in Project meetings </li><li> Manage and mitigate commercial issues with suppliers </li><li> Timely processing and resolution vendor invoices. Continually monitor for timely processing of vendor Invoices, resolution of bottle necks to ensure payment in accordance with agreed terms </li><li> Work closely with the Quality Department to assist with coordinating inspection requirements post and prior to PO placement; </li><li> Assisting with creating and managing schedules, budgets, forecasting, and reporting; </li><li> Facilitate technical discussions between Wood Engineers and Vendor Engineers; </li><li> Ensuring compliance to client's execution plan and overall Wood Supply-Chain Policies and Procedures </li><li> Assisting with managing surplus materials through buy back agreements and / or surplus disposal plans </li><li> Maintaining an auditable file of all purchase order documentation / correspondence; </li><li> Timely close out of projects and purchase orders </li><li> Identify and report procurement cost saving initiatives </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> PNG experience preferred </li><li> Minimum of 15 years' experience in related buying & procurement positions for large EPC projects in the oil & gas industry. Should have managed teams based at multiple locations on Major EPC Projects </li><li> The individual should have varied and detailed work experience in the industry and a detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiation and terms & conditions of purchase </li><li> Advanced Microsoft Office skills </li><li> Experience with Materials Management Systems (Aveva ERM) and ERP Systems (Oracle) </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
