Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. www.highlandsbhs.com JOB DESCRIPTION: The Certified Medical Records Coder is responsible for carrying out the activities of the Health Information Services Department in the maintenance of all patient health information. Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing. Provides departmental coverage in H.I.M. Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in health information management and direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility. Work experience as a coder or strong training background in coding and reimbursement preferred. Licensure/Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-HP.
