Product Manager

The Product Manager will help define, de-risk and execute against a product vision. You will be collaborating with customers and colleagues on cross-functional and co-located product teams. The role demands strong product instincts, excellent communication skills, technical fluency, empathy, humility and an appreciation for and understanding of lean start up, agile and user-centred design values, principles and practices. STRATEGY & EXECUTION Ship successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs Define and prioritize product features CUSTOMER FOCUS Quickly understand a specific client domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space Facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and clients Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts Articulate and test product hypothesis Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others Navigate complete decision-making using product data and key performance indicators (KPIs) Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) at a minimum in business, economics, engineering or similar quantitative field. Professional Experience: 3+ years of Business Analyst experience Introductory Product Management experience Experience with two of the following: lean start up methodologies, agile development methodologies, working directly with clients Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs Experience building and deploying software with or inside enterprise scale organizations Experience working directly with clients and leading projects Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones Experience leading or supporting user research Knowledge: Experience shipping successful products & portfolios, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs Experience building and deploying software at scale that includes integrations with core enterprise systems Skills: Experience leading or supporting user research Experience hiring, coaching and leading product managers At Hertz, we champion and celebrate a culture of diversity and inclusion.
