Agile DevSecOps Engineer

Summary The Agile DevOps Engineer has in-depth knowledge of SCRUM, agile best practices, and methodologies used in Agile Project Management (e.g., sprint planning and reviews, retrospect, hardening, innovation, operational picture, visualizations, metrics) and related DevSecOps tools that serve as the single source of truth for planning, implementation, and review. Experienced in metrics-based reporting and continuous integration/continuous deployment/release operations using Jira and Confluence data collection. The environment will include iterative development, deployment, and maintenance tracked using meaningful metrics for decision-makers and working closely together with the solution provider. It will include frequent interaction with and briefing requirements for Army Executives and Senior Leaders. The Agile DevOps Engineer provides insight and recommendations to the PM, PEO, PD, PL, and Functional Requirements Representatives. Responsibilities Define, track, and analyze performance and financial metrics to measure success, process modification, and risks or issues for multiple active Agile Development Teams using Salesforce tools and approaches Assist program management and systems engineering as they collaborate with the SI/SP and conduct requirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement, verification and validation, certification and accreditation, deployment, change management, and transition across the entire program Use technical area expertise to assess and enhance the operational and/or technical baselines, including development, release/deployment, testing, training, data, acquisition, and cyber/cloud activities associated with functional requirements Participate in capability and business functional reviews Contributor to the development of data migration approaches to transition from legacy relational database management systems, interface systems and modules, and metrics development and tracking Provide technical insight into the determination of technical inadequacies and/or deficiencies in legacy data models and how they impact the ability to meet project goals Develop and educate others about data migration and interface-specific best practices Participate in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work products and implementations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience High school diploma or GED and 4+additional years of experience may be used instead of a degree Master’s degree preferred PMP or equivalent based on experience or equivalent certifications (e.g. DAWIA) or both Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M preferred Secret clearance required The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Army Major Command or Federal Agency level/branch program experience Prior DoD Acquisition Program/Product/Project Manager experience Prior DoD software development program management experience preferred Prior agile software development program management experience preferred Salesforce Low Code platforms Strong executive-level communications skills (both written and oral) Strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills Ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support
