Graduate Process Engineer in Training

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for Graduate <b>Process Engineer (EIT)</b> to join the Engineering team(s) within our Conventional Energy Canada Team based in Calgary. <br><br>The closing date for online applications for this posting is February 27, 2023 <br><br>The successful candidate will be engaged in projects including, but not limited to, upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas, SAGD, water treatment, chemicals, energy transition and technical safety. The role will include process simulation, equipment and line sizing, hydraulic analysis, control valve sizing, safety relief sizing, development of PFDs, P&IDs, LDTs and other lists and summaries. The work will be carried out under the guidance of a Lead and/or Senior Process Engineer and shall be completed within the project schedule requirements while maintaining high quality. Work will range from conceptual studies through detailed engineering stages. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Minimum Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li> Recently graduated with a BSC, BEng or equivalent as a Chemical Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, Industrial Systems Engineer (within 2 years) </li><li> Legal authorization to work in Canada </li></ul><br> <b> Role-Specific Skills: </b> <br><ul><li> Strong written and oral communication (English) skills </li><li> Currently registered as an EIT with APEGA </li><li> Able to apply the theories, codes and standards appropriate to the Process engineering discipline </li><li> Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills </li><li> Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while still being able to take responsibility and ownership of individual assignments. </li><li> Familiarity with simulation tools including Aspen HYSYS, ProII, Unisim, or equivalent - preferred </li><li> Experience in participating in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating studies - preferred </li><li> Experience with hydraulics simulation tools such as AFT Fathom, Arrow, or equivalent - preferred </li><li> **Please provide a copy of your transcript with your application </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
