Manager, R&D Procurement – Clinical FSP and Site and Patient Services

Site Name: UK - London - Brentford Posted Date: Jan 11 2023 The Manager, R&D Procurement – Clinical FSP and Site and Patient Services will be accountable for end-to-end category management including sourcing and contract management across their assigned categories, which are patient recruitment and retention services as well as site staffing services. This will include the development and implementation of category strategies; the contracting for master/service/product agreements within the categories; the management of supplier relationships that fall outside of the enterprise SRM structure for these categories; and for ensuring the suppliers key to their category(ies) commit to deliver GSK’s performance, quality, and financial requirements. You will have the opportunity to work with central SMEs and business owners to continue to develop the global patient recruitment and retention strategy, and also work with individual study teams to develop the patient recruitment outsourcing strategy for their studies and specific patient population. Due the evolving nature of the supplier base and new capabilities being introduced, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategy through the evaluation and introduction of new suppliers and the cessation of existing suppliers that are not delivering. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Manages categories / commodities Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties Work across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness Champion the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK's strategic direction Knows and utilises complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements Implements and supports procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage Why You?
