Lead Designer, Subsea and Surface Pressure Systems, Brazil

Our leading technologies and our ability to apply them safety and effectively create value for our customers and shareholders. <br><br><b> Partner with the best </b><br><br><b> As a Lead Designer, you will be responsible for: </b><br><br><ul><li> Generating 3D and 2D designs from the interpretation of internal design and customer specifications and verifying against current manufacturing and assembly practices. </li><li> Producing detail, machining, fabrication, and assembly drawings/models using Creo to ASME Y14.5 2009 standards and format with attention to tolerance studies and verifying fit, form and function at max, nom, and min conditions. </li><li> Creating part specifications and revisions as part of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Teamcenter process clarifications, workflows system updates and improvements </li><li> Designer will be responsible for creating the layout, detail and assembly of designs including required fixtures and assemblies for verification testing. </li><li> Creating system layout assemblies and drawings when applicable, showing new products in running sequences with new or existing running tools. </li><li> Creating conceptual designs meeting project requirements and layouts for review following company design process management </li><li> As required support Engineers in creation of Bills of Materials </li><li> Retrieving and submitting data in Teamcenter following company protocols </li><li> Identifying and ensure equipment is designed in accordance with the current Health, safety and environmental legislation and safe operation. </li><li> Identifying improvements in existing products, procedures, processes and develop cost effective solutions to satisfy specifications. </li><li> Understanding and applying design for manufacture principles for turning, machining, drilling, milling, and welding processes to ensure designs are suitable and allow for efficient manufacture and assembly. </li></ul><br><br><b> Fuel your passion </b><br><br><b> To be successful in this role you will: </b><br><br><ul><li> Minimum 5 years of engineering design experience </li><li> Working knowledge of Creo or Pro Engineer 3D CAD software </li><li> Extensive knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and application of same </li><li> Has established experience in drafting standards </li><li> Familiar with design process methodologies </li><li> Be able to speak fluent Portuguese </li><li> Advanced English </li></ul><br><br><b>Desired characteristics:</b><br><br><ul><li> Subsea Wellhead experience a plus </li><li> Familiar with relevant industry standards and codes for Subsea Wellhead equipment (API 17D, API 6A, etc.). </li><li> Good understanding of fabrication and machining processes. </li></ul><br><br><b> Work in a way that works for you </b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.<br><br><b> Working with us </b><br><br>Our people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
