*S&P Global Mobility* The Role: Software Engineer The Team: Team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts building a next generation Forecasting platform for Automotive. The Impact: This role will help the team to build scalable pipelines and backend systems for our forecast system. Responsibilities: Develop distributed/scalable AWS cloud based forecast backend system by following full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Understand the requirements from the stakeholders and fellow developers and translate the need into design and develop the systems based on the design Work under limited supervision and communicate effectively to set achievable expectations, to have a tight control over timelines and quality of work output Develop systems in various languages like Python and SQL Implement efficient backend algorithms and data compilations Willingness to be conduit between UI and backend teams if needed Be very curious and motivated to support distributed/scalable systems Continuously learn and translate those learnings into improvements to solutions What We’re Looking For: Minimum education requirement of four-year degree in an engineering or computer science discipline. Additional education is preferred. 6+ years of experience in building scalable data pipelines. Solid knowledge of relational database technologies. Minimum 4 years of solid Python Pandas/Numpy programming experience for Data Handling and Analysis. Minimum 4 years of SQL experience and excellent SQL Skills. Minimum 2 years in AWS Cloud. Proficient in at least one CI/CD tool like Gitlab. Experience in Agile frameworks preferred. Experience building APIs is a plus. Experience building AWS Lambas and AWS Step Functions using AWS CloudFormation is a plus. Experience using big data tools for data manipulation and modeling (PySpark/Scala) is a plus.
