Instructional Designer

Provides instructional design support in the creation of technical courseware that conforms to industry best practices and complies with department standards. Participates in needs assessment activities using a variety of data–collection methods, including document reviews and SME interviews Collaborates with peers and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop design specs, write learning objectives, and develop course content Designs and develops learning materials including; Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Job Aids, eLearning modules, and virtual ILT courses Reviews deliverables for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with the detailed design plan Conducts a full spectrum of evaluation activities including analyzing content, writing test items, designing and conducting session evaluations Reviews and revises course content based on student and client feedback Qualifications Fluency in the English language Excellent technical writing, structured writing techniques, and demonstrable documentation skills Ability to understand technical/engineering concepts and to learn product functionality and application Well-versed in instructional design methodologies Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe authoring tools and eLearning software applications and testing tools Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team Strong interpersonal and communication skills 2-5 years of experience in designing and developing technical training materials Schedule: Full-time Req: 0089F6
