As a recognized Geological expert, undertakes specific assignments that can only be handled satisfactorily by one possessing a high level of technical ability, specialized expertise or extensive background.<br />
<br />
<b>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b><br />
<br />
Generally as a member of a team, the incumbent is expected to perform one or more of the following activities, the number and combination depending upon the assignment.</p>

<ul>
<li>Serves as consultant to management.</li>
<li>Acts as a technical expert to assigned professionals as is necessary to satisfactorily perform work assignments.</li>
<li>Develops ideas, and creates plans and organizes projects or specialized studies in Area Exploration, Technical Services, or in Reservoir Characterization to realize corporate objectives.</li>
<li>Carries out applied research within his area of specialization to provide new means of solving geological problems.</li>
<li>Prepares oral and written reports to present the results of studies for review by management.</li>
<li>Analyzes regional stratigraphic and structural framework to determine Potential and Risk of future prospective regional trends.</li>
<li>Utilizing inter-disciplinary data, builds integrated earth models to improve visualization, optimize drilling and help Reservoir Simulation and Reserves Groups.</li>
<li>Attends meetings and conferences related to his specific geological discipline to insure that the most current methods and techniques are applied to the solutions of the problems in Saudi Arabia.</li>
<li>Assists in training less experienced geologists through discussions and work sessions.</li>
<li>Performs any or all the duties listed in the Geologist I job description.</li>

<b>Minimum Requirements</b><br />
<br />
a. Bachelors degree in Geology or a related science. Graduate study in a specialized discipline of Geology, a related science or other extended special training is desirable.<br />
<br />
b. Twelve (12) years of experience, including at least 5 years as a specialist in his discipline. Incumbent must be recognized for his study efforts in his principle discipline by his peer group.<br />
<br />
c. Fluent in both spoken and written English.<br />
