Business Intelligence Developer

OSI Systems is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join their team. The Business Intelligence Developer assists in managing the Enterprise Data Warehouse and its applications. The main activities include creating new automated data Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) programs, managing the performance of existing ETL, generate corporate financial metrics, ad-hoc reports, and datasets/report for end-users using the corporate Business Intelligence platform. The BI Developer ensures the proper maintenance of the development, test and training environments and will be integrally involved in configuration management and change control activities between development, test and production environments. In addition, the BI Developer shall create technical design documents related to enhancements and changes required by our internal customers and will be asked to conduct research projects as directed. Additionally, the BI Developer will be asked to present his/her work in front of internal customers. Responsibilities Work with internal customers to understand business requirements, reporting metrics, and method of delivery (scheduled refresh, dashboards, etc.) Extract and analyze sample data to synthesize solutions. Work with others in the IT organization to construct data models and database designs, ETL programs, and dashboards/reports that meet customer requirements. Perform and monitor daily data refresh and produce associated reports. Administer the enterprise data warehouse, following development procedures that ensure the security and integrity of enterprise databases and applications. Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve BI platform performance issues, data replication, and other common issues arising in a distributed architecture. Qualifications Four-year college or university degree is required. 5+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in working with customers in requirements gathering. Excellent data analysis skill. Be able to design/develop a solution from begining to end with automation in mind. Good understanding of data modeling applicable to business Intelligence. Good knowledge and experience using Microsoft PowerBI. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud based Business Intelligence tools. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics a plus. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Analysis Services (SSAS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics Good knowledge of Microsoft NAV, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Dynamics CRM preferred.
