Safety must be the number one priority, ensure all personnel has necessary PPE. Make rounds around the mill, to include all areas. Assist shift manager in ensuring all tasks are being performed, and quality specifications are met. Verify all quality specifications are being met in the lab as well as the winder. Verify Operators are doing their jobs properly and assist when needed. Train, and assist operators wherever needed. Train in weak areas to get more insight in process. Assist Shift Manager in his responsibilities. Fill in for vacation of Shift Manager. Verify all quality specifications are being met in the lab as well as the winder. Utilize the Shift Mechanic and E&I personnel as well as your production crew to correct any issues in stock prep, the paper machine, and the winder. Housekeeping, have a plan for the shift cleaner, assist where needed.
