Our products provide engineering services to the MWD drilling market that are focused on innovation and reliability.<br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>An Electro Mechanical Motor Design Engineer works primarily in Mechanical engineering in product development, design, sustaining, or R&D. Plans and conducts research, design and development of standard engineering assignments. Assignments can be a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications.<br><br>As Electro Mechanical Motor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Work on delivering mechanical designs, as well as continuous improvement to existing designs.</li><li>Create 3D parts and assembly models as well as associated Manufacturing Prints and Bill of Materials (BOMs).</li><li>Write Assembly Procedures and Product Specifications in Microsoft Word</li><li>Perform design calculations in Microsoft Excel and FEA in SolidWorks</li><li>Take a lead role to ensure the success of a product from concept to production release.</li><li>Peer review other team members' designs and learn and adapt from peer review of your designs.</li><li>Develop and execute design and product qualification test plans to verify product designs equipment prior to release.</li><li>Share knowledge and insights with team members through lunch n' learn programs, education days, and cross-team training.</li><li>Improve upon existing hardware designs and create documentation on current or new designs.</li></ul><br><br><b>Fuel your passion</b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>1+ year(s) experience in mechanical design with preference given to those candidates that have experience on Measurement While Drilling (MWD) equipment.</li><li>Proficient in mechanical development design patterns and methodologies.</li><li>Familiar with SolidWorks including some or all of the following: SolidWorks PDM, SolidWorks Inspection</li><li>Experience with basic hand tools and handheld power tools.</li><li>Experience with testing and test-driven development.</li><li>Experience with common mechanical design calculations</li><li>Experience in Hardware Embedded Systems Design</li><li>Experience with Altium Designer.</li><li>Experience with low to medium voltage designs.</li><li>Altium Designer and the Altium Vault.</li><li>Create schematic and PCB library components by comparing existing footprints and datasheet information with the generated output of the IPC Footprint Wizard and established Evolution standards, making modifications where required.</li><li>Apply 3D models to the PCB footprints and perform measurement verifications in 3D</li><li>Excellent communications skills with the ability to share insights and expectations with stakeholders and colleagues, both locally and remotely.</li><li>Hands on electro-mechanical passion for work related and hobby related activities</li><li>Experience in high temperature (150oC) circuit design</li></ul><br><br><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
