Site Name: UK - West Sussex - Worthing Posted Date: Jan 9 2023 We are looking for an engaging, motivated HR professional to join the Senior Leadership Team at GSK’s Worthing manufacturing Site. Job Purpose: The HR Site Lead provides business and HR strategy leadership at across the Worthing site, to make a positive difference to the GSK employee experience. The HR Site Lead serves as a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and coaches business leaders in the delivery of key HR activities (supporting business strategy and improving business performance). In addition you will collaborate with (and navigate other areas of) HR to deliver the right customer experience in alignment with the HR Operating Model. Key Responsibilities (include..,) • Responsible for site People Plan, focusing on talent, leadership, capability and culture, created by translating business objectives into HR solutions through appropriately setting direction, objectives, targets, and metrics. Responsible for translating people strategy into operational support, while partnering with the business to adapt / execute the people plan, leveraging local context and expertise. • Lead and support Site Director, Leadership Team and their teams in the delivery of key HR activities (including coaching and development of SD, LT and their teams around HR policies). • Respond to highly complex queries from managers and employees (including Service Hubs and supporting HR Support Centre) on interventions of high sensitivity, complexity and/or expertise. • Lead role in delivery and implementation of initiatives developed by the HR Centres of Excellence, HRBLs and HR Services (with appropriate contribution to design phases as required), including building local HR capability (e.g. talent management, Performance System). • Ownership of Site Current & Future Workforce plan in partnership with Site Leadership team; taking the Lead role on understanding each Functional area’s Capability needs to deliver site ambition and identification / execution of related action plans. • Partner with various HR delivery channels to support Site level initiatives and assist with delivery of HR CoE and/or People Services special projects. Working as OneHR to deliver HR services to the business. • Leadership of change programs including diagnose, design and/or deliver large scale, complex, cultural and organizational change projects (including employee engagement initiatives). • Leading, identifying and mitigating the HR Risk environment, manage escalations and support the business to create a positive employee environment (including develop mitigation strategies). • Lead on and resolve high risk ER/IR issues and implement strategies to reduce such issues and enhance performance. Support the SLT with ER/IR relationship management • Lead, diagnose, design and/or deliver large scale, complex and global cultural change projects, site changes, workforce restructuring, including; outsourcing, in sourcing and off shoring, acquisitions, mergers and divestments in line with the HR agenda defined by the HRBL leveraging OD expertise • Lead and promotes global leadership, learning and coaching programs and resources, designing and facilitating interventions focused on team development • Act a role model for GSK cultural expectations (Ambitious for Patients, Accountable for Impact, Do the Right Thing). About You: This role would suit a driven and motivated individual who has experience of delivering complex HR operational solutions and strategies. You will be a degree-qualified HR Professional with a proven ability to deliver. It is crucial you have an ability to bring various teams together to achieve common goals and that you can navigate competing priorities to find solutions with your colleagues (at pace). We are seeking a strong people-person, capable of empowering and developing team-members and colleagues, as well as improving knowledge and capability across the site when it comes to HR best practice. You will be a member of the site’s leadership team so proven culture development is important, as is your ability to build successful networks across the business (which cover other senior leaders, as well as colleagues at all levels). You will also be resilient and calm under pressure. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are considered essential to the role. You will also have a strong continuous improvement approach.
