POSITION SUMMARY This is an exciting UX Researcher position with a growing Online Design Team at ELC. The successful candidate will be responsible for advocating the needs of our customers to the wider business will contribute to defining the practice in our region. You will be key in exposing the many colleagues in the UK online business to the discipline for the first time – presenting an opportunity to influence how we evaluate existing experiences and develop new ones. You have a passion for understanding people, their motivations and their behaviours in shopping for beauty products. You relish the chance to engage with stakeholders and get them excited about UX Research. This position would suit an experienced candidate used to working within larger organisations in an Agile environment. WHAT THIS ROLE DOES Plan, design and conduct high-priority hands-on UX Research across our multiple UK transactional websites End to end research activities from project definition all the way through to delivering insights to stakeholders Create a variety of different outputs such as presentations, reports and visualisations Advocate for UXR and engage stakeholders in the process, encouraging wider team members to actively participate Help define how we incorporate UXR into our project lifecycle alongside product management and design Help define best practices in how we present, document and catalogue insights Help define how we join our work together with insights from other business sources like Customer services and analytics Work closely with the Design & UX Manager and the existing team to define how the UXR function should operate in the UK region, including processes, tooling and working with 3rd parties. Relationships Will work closely alongside designers, product managers, the brands, analytics and UX team members across regions. Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE Essential Solid experience working on UX Research for digital products, gained working as part of in-house teams Solid best-practice knowledge of Research as part of a User Centered Design process Demonstrable experience in a wide variety of quant and qual research techniques and methodologies Experience using tools for moderated and unmoderated remote research (Usertesting.com, UserZoom, Optimal Workshop or similar) Confident and persuasive communicator with great presentation skills, able to impart insights to stakeholders at all levels in a jargon-free non-technical manor. Comfortable working in collaboration with UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Analytics and brand stakeholders Comfortable being a subject matter expert for UX Research in our region Passionate advocate of User Research, with a track record of facilitating the participation of stakeholders in the process Desirable In-house experience working at a major UK online retailer Keen interest in the beauty industry and associated trends Previous experience working with and managing 3rd party agencies Solid knowledge of Digital Accessibility best practices Candidates with hybrid UX Research & UX Design experience will be considered Compensation and Benefits Hybrid Working (2 days WFH, 3 days office based) Generous Bonus Opportunity that usually performs ahead of target 25 Days Annual Leave (exc.
