Project Engineering Student - Mining

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer student for the 2023 Spring Semester to work in our St. John's office. <br><br> This individual will be eager to learn, highly motivated, and have excellent attention to detail. If this sounds like you and you are interested in working within a team of friendly and dedicated professionals, apply today! <br><br><b> Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: </b> <br><ul><li> Supporting our team of Project Engineers with planning, cost, Project Change Notices (PCN's), Project Execution Plans (PEP's) </li><li> Writing reports, taking meeting minutes, filling documents, sending out meeting invites through Outlook </li><li> Additional administrative / research tasks maybe required </li><li> Coordinates small teams; develops skills of leadership with support from team members </li><li> Communicates with line managers highlighting issues and deficiencies </li><li> Assists Engineers to deliver to schedule, fully understand reasons for delay and assist in developing recovery plans </li><li> Alerts more senior project management personnel in the event of potential delays or change </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications: </b> <br><ul><li> A student currently enrolled in an Engineering program </li><li> Excellent verbal and communications skills are required </li><li> Excellent technical writing skill is required </li><li> Industrial-Mining knowledge is preferred </li><li> Proven record of good standing at School </li><li> An attitude and commitment to quality, teaming, innovative problem solving, communication, relationship management, and the culture that is integral to our employee ownership model </li><li> Ability to work with administrative supervision and effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities </li></ul><br><b> Please include your most recent transcripts with your cover letter and resume </b><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
